Meta fields

If you want to use metadata, first of all you have to create/add meta fields. This is crucial for the system to find any folders or files in the future. In Meta fields you can also edit your existing meta fields in the future. When you assign meta fields to folders and files in Document Management you will choose meta field based on this first step. NOTE: It's only the user/s given the role Portal Administrator that could administrate this.

  • Add meta fields

To add meta fields to the portal do like this:

1. Choose Meta fields   under Administration.
2. Click on the button Add .
3. Enter the name of the new label in the field Label.
4. Choose type (String, Number, Date or List) in the drop-down menu Type. NOTE: List gives the possibility to create several choices. Click in the bottom field, and add the choices under each other.
5. Click on the Save button.

  • Edit meta fields

1. Choose Meta fields   under Administration .
2. Choose the meta field you want to edit.
3. Click on the button Edit .
4. Edit the information.
5. Click on the Save button to save the changes.

If you regret your changes or you don’t want to save the added/modified parameters, click on the Cancel button.

  • Delete meta fields

1. Choose Meta fields  under Administration.
2. Choose the meta field you want to delete.
3. Click on the button Delete  and then Yes.
